GameStop buys EB...
Its true. This makes me sad to no end. GS has the most archaic and insipid preorder system. I just hope that they dont force EB to do the same thing that GS does with preorders. It's 2005 and they still keep track of them with paper, and its not logged into a computer database. All GameStops should be next to an apothecary that sells the essence of poppies as a cure all, and GS employees should be given Melville books and told, "Only use these words please!". Sometimes my computerist chums and I ride our pennywheelers to the computarium and apothecary on hill nigh. |

Just a quote I like...
A popular Government, without popular information, or the means of acquiring it, is but a Prologue to a Farce or a Tragedy; or, perhaps both. Knowledge will forever govern ignorance: And a people who mean to be their own Governors, must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives. James Madison |

So yeah, EA apparently bought the rights to NFL players, teams, and stadiums over the next five years. I dont even like football or anything, but that makes me feel goddamned ill. Why is it that the worst companies for an industry are usually also the largest? |

Ok, so I just got a "theNeverhood" skin for winamp. This may seem childish or whatever, btu thats the cutest goddamn thing ever. Doug TeNapal is one of my favorite artists ever, and the Neverhood was just so damned cool. This skin for me is the equivelant of some puppy/kitten hybrid playing with a ball of yarn and looking longingly at me with floppy ears. So goddamn adorable. Now I just need to find a Creature Tech skin. Oh, if you've never*heard* of the Never*hood*, then google that shit up. Thier games do not dissapoint. In other news, Unity was cancelled. This is sad news... Unity was a mixture of a fast action space shooter and a light synth. Essentially it was Rez times ten. With more of a Tempest flare than a rail shooter flare. UNITY IS CANCELLED Lionhead Studios and Jeff Minter have come to a mutual decision to cancel their collaborative project Unity with immediate effect. Unity was always an ambitious and experimental project and as is the case with such endeavours they do not always come to fruition. Both Lionhead and Jeff are disappointed that it has been necessary to take this step despite significant publisher interest. However, a shared commitment to excellence and originality meant both sides agree that the cancellation of the project was in everyone’s best interests. Relations between Jeff and Lionhead remain strong and both sides have enjoyed working together over the past two years. Commenting on the decision to halt work on Unity, Peter Molyneux said, “Everyone at Lionhead has the utmost respect and admiration for Jeff’s unique talents. However, we’ve both been in the industry a long time and it was becoming increasingly apparent to us that we would not be able to finish Unity in an acceptable time frame. On a personal level, I have very much enjoyed working with Jeff.” Jeff Minter responded, “Everyone at Lionhead has been incredibly supportive and the decision to stop working on Unity has been a difficult one for us. But being realistic, I felt it was better for everyone concerned that we cease work on Unity. I’d like to thank Lionhead for all their help and support over the past two years.” |

Oh yeah, I've taken up a recent intrest in existentialism. If anyone could recommend some good books on the subject, I'd appreciate it. |

Alright, it seems about over... If anyone asks me about politics, or says anything regarding the election... hell, if I overhear you say electoral vote, or popular vote, or concede or whatever I'll slice you open from belly to balls. Seriously. Give me, maybe a week or so and I can deal with it again. So now... who wants to play some videogames? |

NEW COMPUTER! ITS COMING! ITS HOT! So goddamn excited for this thing. I cant wait. If those fuckers take thier sweet ass time getting it to me I will have a fucking conniption. In other news, Gradius V will be the death of me. Gradius V should quit its job as a videogame and start doing dominatrix work. It would do really well in that field. Someone will one day find me hanging from the cieling with lightbulbs hanging around my neck with a note, "Need more options...". I just want to beat it once so I can get that goddamn weapon edit. Disgaea is a game I've put off for a while, and now that Im getting into it, I love it... unfortunatly. I could stop playing everything else right now, and only play Disgaea, and by the time Im done doing everything in that game, the PS6 and Xbox5 and Nintendo Tetrahedron would be out. I swear. I know this is getting long for you LJADHDers, so I will shorten the remainder up. GunGrave OD is damn fun and a steal at 15 bones(EB only), Fable is great just not the second fucking coming as some would have you believe. Fable 2 should be everything everyone hped for. Shining Force for GBA is as good as the old one, just a bit too easy. They fixed the healer exp problem though. Advanced Guardian Heros is a worthwhile purchase, just dont expect mana from heaven that the Saturn one was. Katamari Damacy should be purchased by everyone. Go, buy it. Enjoy its delightful homo-ness and wonderfuly simple gameplay. NeverWinter Nights Platinum comes in a great package and sure looks spiffy, but I dont know anything else about it, cause my laptop finally bit the dust. Hence the new computer. new puter specs as follows... ThermalTake Dream Tower Series Tsunami Case(now window) w/ 400w power supply MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum nForce3 Ultra Athlon 64(FX) Skt939 DDR ATX Motherboard w/Audio, Dual LAN, RAID/Serial ATA AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Processor Socket 939 Corsair CMX512-3200XLPT 512MB DDR400 XMS3200 Xtra-Low Latency Memory w/Platinum Heat Spreader Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 ST3160827AS 160GB Serial ATA 7200RPM Hard Drive w/8MB Buffer Going out to get the Monitor, speakers, DVD drive, mouse&KB, and the other extras. Oh yeah, Ben is giving me his ATI Radeon 9800 128mb RAM overclocked to XT speeds. yeah, its a fuckin beast. |
